Redemptive Labs

Redemptive Labs are 40-hour curated events where like-minded founders and mentors explore what it looks like to build a redemptive venture. The Redemptive Lab experience is designed for founders’ specific needs and opportunities — generating experience-based insights and discussions about how to apply the Praxis Redemptive Frame to company strategy (what we build), operations (how we build), and our own leadership (why we build). Founders will share vision presentations and get 1:1 mentoring from experienced venture builders. After the Lab, founders will leave with fresh ideas, practical tools, new relationships, and critical feedback from peers and mentors.

Redemptive Labs are designed by Praxis Labs and hosted locally by the Denver Redemptive Labs Team who seeks to actively cultivate a venture-building ecosystem in the broader metro area.

Interest

We are looking to build an active community of venture builders with a redemptive imagination in our city. Each Redemptive Lab needs a mix of founders, mentors, funders, and team members (who help host the experience). So whether you are a founder who might want to go through a Redemptive Lab, a funder interested in supporting, an experienced venture builder interested in mentoring, or a builder interested in helping put on the Lab, we’d love to hear from you via the interest form below.

We look for founders who are leading ventures/organizations that are:

  • Early-stage, ideally within first 5 years of operations, or on the cusp of a major transition

  • Post-hunch, actively pursuing traction and growth in what they are building

  • Designing an innovative solution in their sector

  • Aiming to pursue their mission through a scalable model and redemptive approach

  • Businesses OR Nonprofits — there are two different types of Labs that serve either businesses or nonprofits

Led by serious Christians who are:

  • Aiming to embody the gospel through a redemptive venture

  • Humble and teachable, with a passion for excellence

  • Seeking an accountable community to grow together in faith and supporting one another’s ventures

  • Lead decision makers of their venture and (ideally) working full-time on the venture

Upcoming Events

The first Redemptive Lab in the Denver Area will be held May 1 - 3, 2024 in Jefferson, CO and will focus on Redemptive Business Ventures. Applications will be live Winter 2024.

Cost?

Due to the generous underwriting of this event by Denver Institute for Faith & Work and a group of donors, there will be no cost for Founders for the Lab this Spring. We don’t want costs to be a barrier for those in the early stages of startup. After the Lab, we would be open to participants making a pay-it-forward donation to support the costs for business and nonprofit lab participants in the future.

Application Timeline

  • February 15: Applications Open

  • March 31: Application Deadline

  • Acceptances will be communicated on a rolling basis but no later than April 10.
